Inflation is a complex, multifactorial challenge across the globe. Democrats at the national and state level have passed a variety of bills to help working people cope with rising costs, while Republicans have consistently voted against them all.

• …that Senator Hassan co-sponsored the Gas Prices Relief Act, which has helped lower gas prices — and that every Republican Senator voted against it?

• …that the Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act, passed by Democrats in the House and Senate without a single Republican vote, frees our Medicare and Medicaid programs — for the first time ever — to negotiate prices with drug companies like they do in Canada and caps insulin costs at $35?

Both Sen. Hassan and Rep. Pappas supported the American Rescue Plan, which provided direct financial aid to more than 600,000 Granite Staters.

Rep. Pappas is now working to make the child tax credit permanent. This tax credit has lifted more than 8,000 NH children out of poverty.

Republicans in Washington and Concord have voted against these efforts, preferring instead to give tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy.
